Yang Liping

Two dance pieces that raise questions about our essence as human beings—how we perceive ourselves, and what defines who we are. This evening touches on themes of identity, otherness, and encounters with the unknown, inviting introspection and meaningful reflection.

A reimagining of Alice in Wonderland, “ALiCE” tells the story of a woman, or perhaps a girl, unsure of her identity and unsure of where she's going. She runs away or explores, discovering the powers within her changing body. The world around her is different, intriguing and fascinating – and at times downright crazy.
