“White Swan – Swan Lake from Classical to Contemporary” combines the legendary choreography of Lev Ivanov and the innovative choreography of Andonis Poniadakis, Artistic Director of the National Ballet of Greece.
In the first part, 30 dancers from the Israeli ballet, starring Bolshoi soloists Evgenia Obraztsova and Dmitry Godunov, will perform the original second act of Swan Lake. The second and special part will present a contrast to the first part – an innovative and liberated version of the fascinating classic – with original choreography by Poniadakis for the Israeli ballet.
“The choreography is wonderful and so is the performance… I haven’t been this excited by a performance by the Israeli ballet company in a long time” (Ruth Eshel, Haaretz, 2016)
Choreography: Lev Ivanov and Andonis Poniadakis
