Lareal – Spanish Mosaic

A celebration of dance with an enthusiastic performance by 17 dancers from the company who bring the passion for dance to the stage in a stormy and sweeping performance. Images from Spain, a colorful journey through the landscapes of Spain, its music and especially the diverse dance created there – from stormy flamenco to classical Spanish dance, folk dances (jota) from the various regions of Spain and dances from the noble courts of the 17th and 18th centuries.

The La Real Company was established alongside the MARIEMMA Dance Conservatory in Madrid. The company frequently performs throughout Spain at festivals and in large concert halls, and has been invited to perform at several festivals around the world, winning critical and audience acclaim.

The conservatory has been operating in Madrid for 70 years and has produced generations of dancers who have integrated themselves over the years into Spain’s most prominent dance companies, including the National Ballet, the Antoni Gades Company, the New Spanish Ballet, and more.

The company will arrive in Israel with seven different works ranging from classical music pieces by Scarlatti and the Spanish composer Antonio Albínez to folk and flamenco music, works for an entire company, and also solo dances and duets in all Spanish dance styles.

In light of the success of its previous visit to Israel two years ago, the Spanish Dance Company is returning to Real – with a new lineup and a new program for a tour throughout the country and as part of the Karmiel Dance Festival.
