The shrinking Shakespearean troupe returns to Israel with its latest production, “Hamlet’s Great Adventure!” An hour and a half of non-stop laughter that presents the story of Hamlet from a different, surprising and, above all, very funny angle.

It is the theater group that specialized in presenting condensed works from all of Shakespeare’s works, and continued with works based on stories from the Bible, world history, and Hollywood. Now it is returning to its “origins,” the work of the great playwright William Shakespeare, to the play best known of all his works.
The theater members have previously performed in Israel twice, in collaboration with the Cameri Theater, with unprecedented success.
Even before the tragedy, it was actually his great adventure.
A crazy and completely invented production, and just as Hollywood invents prequels for superhero movies, the group members invented a prequel to Hamlet, and in their play, nothing is rotten in the Kingdom of Denmark.
Laughter, fun, music, and more laughter as silly ten-year-old Hamlet struggles to save the monastery he grew up in from betrayal. He recruits his best friends: Ophelia and the clown Yorick. Together they create a show, what could be wrong?
On the way to the mission, Ophelia takes (and fails) a swimming test, and Hamlet is forced to distance himself from his clown father, who has an unbearable habit of jumping behind houseplants and pretending to be a ghost. At the same time, Yorick teaches them about show business, which is basically comedy and skull juggling, while they wonder why Hamlet’s mother spends so much time at his uncle’s house.
Hamlet’s Great Adventure is a meeting between Shakespeare and the Muppets. It is said about it:
“It will be or it will not be.”
