“The Autumn of My Spring” is the story of Borya Gadai, a small bird with a big heart who lives in Kutaisi after World War II. Rezo Gabriadze describes the play as a poem about his grandmother and her memories of the abandoned and impoverished city. “There was a desire to live and love then. That, to me, is the difference between the hard times of the past and the hard times of today.” The play is a magical mix of virtuoso puppetry, Georgian dance and folk songs, sweeping the audience on a journey of dreams, despair, rage and happiness.
“Gabriadze is one of Georgia’s national treasures.” (The New York Times) “In the old quarter of Tbilisi lies a tiny puppet theater. There you will meet puppets that float like angels from the sky and emerge like demons from the depths of the earth, to tell their incredible stories to the audience.” (24 heures)

Playwright, director, and artistic director: Razo Gabriadze | Animation: Niko Glowani, Tamar Amirjivi, Giorgi Giorgovini, Irakli Shershidze, Anna Nigeradze, Tamar Kovachidze.
The play was produced in collaboration with Theater Vidy-Lausanne
