From Paris and Stockholm to Montreal, New York and Dubai – Olivier Laurent, one of the most prominent performers of Jacques Berle’s songs, is coming to Israel for the first time with an extraordinary tribute show to one of the greatest French singers. Berle, the composer whose songs crossed borders and became international icons, had a profound influence on poetry culture, and his lyrics have been translated into many languages, including Hebrew.
Laurent, accompanied by four talented musicians, will appear in just four shows in January 2025, performing Berle’s best classics, such as Ne me quitte pas, “Amsterdam”, “La Valse à Mille Temps” and many others.
Olivier Laurent, who has performed around the world, is highly regarded for his ability to bring Berle to life on stage. With a deep, soulful voice, Laurent’s personal interpretation brings out the power, magic and complexity of Berle’s words and melodies – a once-in-a-lifetime experience for lovers of French classical music.
