Strange times are passing through humanity, ones that give rise to additional meanings in the poems of Fortisharoff:
“Fear drips like poison and is absorbed like a kiss.”
I am the trap, a prisoner without hope.
Want to open a door, it closes and won’t come out
Trying to escape and always, always coming back.
The performances will mark the 30th anniversary of Portishof’s masterpiece album “1900?”, and come at a wonderful time for the current era. “1900?” was the second joint album by Portis and Sakharof, but it was actually the first to be released under their new name, the wonderful two-headed monster: PortisShakharof. The album yielded a host of immortal hits, including: “America,” “Blue Dream,” “Shoes,” and the anthems “There’s No End to Girls” and “Sparks.”
