Montreal Jazz Ballet, one of the leading companies in the world of modern dance, returns to Israel with the new and unique work Dance Me, inspired by the work of Montreal-born poet, singer, and composer Leonard Cohen.
Three international choreographers are responsible for the movement that accompanies Cohen’s songs: Adonis Poniadakis, Anabel Lopez-Ochoa, and Ihsan Rostam. Their powerful choreographic world reflects Cohen’s profound work, which comes to life through the company’s 14 dancers.
The show Dance Me was designed by a team of international artists, who created a brilliant mix of choreography, dramaturgy, visual and musical elements in tribute to Montreal’s greatest ambassador. Dance, circus arts, music, lighting, set and video art come together in an unforgettable performance that earned the BJM troupe applause from the audience and critics.
