Al Stewart, a British singer-songwriter of Scottish descent who now lives in the US, began performing as part of the legendary British folk revival in the 1960s and 1970s and pioneered the combination of folk-rock songs and delicately woven stories of characters and events from history. Stewart is considered a key figure in the development of British music as someone who played at the first Glastonbury Festival in 1970, worked with Yoko Ono even before Lennon, and shared an apartment in London with a young Paul Simon. He was there at all the important crossroads and hasn’t stopped to this day.

He released over 20 albums, the best known and most successful of which are Year Of The Cat (1976) and Time Passages (1978), produced by Alan Parsons, who at that time was already signed to masterpiece albums such as Abbey Road and Dark Side Of The Moon. Even before them (in 1973), Stewart released the album “Past, Present and Future”, a series of stories with a historical background that progress according to the timeline, with the last song (and best known among them) being Nostradamus, which is directed towards the future. Even his albums that were not commercially successful, received praise and appreciation.

He has been writing, composing and performing for over four decades, making sure to release albums with perfect rock-folk songs in which, as in his performances, he maintains his clear voice, sound and exceptionally rich guitar arrangements. As a communicative performer and gifted storyteller, he makes sure to create an intimate atmosphere with the audience.
